On Wednesday, March 27th, we opened the school to the public, scheduling demos and lectures to keep visitors occupied!
From 11:00 - 2:00, Garrett Vitanza demonstrated the painting process of Diego Velazquez. Visitors and students crammed into his studio and watched and listened as Garrett provided a very informative few hours!
Downstairs, from 3:00 - 5:00, Stephen Kivimaki demonstrated the beginning stages of portrait drawing and talked the visitors through every minute of it. Julie Beck patiently modeled!!
As evening approached, the lights went down for Sean Krajnik's lecture on the Munsell Color Order System. Two hours of incisive info, just the tip of the Munsell iceberg!
A big thanks to everyone who stopped by and to all the instructors who gave their time in creating such an enjoyable day!
